SUBJECT: Weather Related Attendance Policy

It is Roper Corporation policy to remain open for business on all scheduled days.

In the event of adverse weather that affects the plant's operating condition, every effort will be made to make production decisions by 5:00 a.m. Decisions about weather delays or cancellations will be immediately transmitted via the Emergency Notification System Cell Phone Text Messaging service as well as posted on the company Website ( and on the company phone messaging system (706-638-5100). It is recommended that employees check their cell phones for text messages as well as the company Website or the phone system for the most up to date information about delays or cancellations. In the event of a weather interruption, if you arrive at work before getting the message that your shift has been delayed or cancelled, please do not clock in. Instead, go to the Main Cafeteria. If work is available, you may be assigned. Otherwise, you may be required to wait until the delayed start time to clock in.

We will also be in touch with the GA Highway Patrol, County Sheriff Offices, Road Superintendents and other knowledgeable people regarding the weather's affect on travel conditions in the area. We will keep employees up to date on when to report for work.

Employees should always use their best judgment of their ability to get to work. Your personal safety is the most important consideration.
